Auburn Drug & Alcohol Treatment Court
157 Genesee St. SERVICES: Treatment Courts are a unique partnership. The Court, prosecutors, defense attorneys and drug/alcohol treatment providers, all working together collaboratively toward a goal of assisting a criminal offender with the tools and support to enjoy an addiction free life. Participants are required to sign a contract. Treatment is mandatory. Testing for compliance takes place in and out of court. Participants are supervised by the Court on a weekly basis. Participants can expect to attend for at least a year. By graduation participants are required to have gainful employment and/or be enrolled in an educational program. Auburn Drug and Treatment Court is also a hub court. This allows eligible cases pending in Cayuga County to participate in Auburn Treatment Court. Treatment Courts have proven successful in communities throughout the state in rehabilitating offenders with drug and alcohol addictions. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: For volunteer opportunities, call Carol Colvin at (315) 253-3001. Must have an interest in working with people who have alcohol and drug problems. REFERRALS: Referrals are made to the treatment court by Judges, District Attorney's Office, defense attorneys, Auburn Police Department, Sheriff's Department, and other criminal justice programs. HOURS: Office, Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm; Summer Hours, 8:00am-4:00pm; Drug & Alcohol Court - Mondays at 2:00pm |
